What You Need to Travel

Required Travel Documents

Citizens of the United States must have government-issued photo identification to travel to Orlando.

Please keep in mind:

  • The name on your identification must exactly match the name on your airline ticket, including any middle name or middle initial.
  • Effective May 7, 2025, U.S. travelers must be REAL ID-compliant to board domestic flights. This means your identification must include the REAL ID-compliant star (located in the upper-right corner). Review details about REAL ID.
  • Starting February 1, 2026, TSA will charge you $45 to use TSA ConfirmID for a 10-day travel period if you do not have a REAL ID. You can avoid this fee by using a valid passport or other accepted forms of identification. Refer to the TSA website for additional information.
  • It’s a good idea to take pictures of your identification with your phone in case your ID is lost or stolen while traveling.
  • The TSA may accept expired driver’s licenses or state-issued ID a year after expiration. Review the list of acceptable identification. It is your responsibility to present an acceptable form of identification at airport check-in.
